Mr. Vu serves as Of Counsel at Alumen IP Law, where he specializes in patent prosecution across a broad spectrum of technologies. His practice emphasizes computer systems and software, and he has successfully supported clients in securing patents related to video games, medical devices, electrical systems, automated vehicles, and consumer products.
He has drafted and prosecuted patent applications for a wide range of clients, including major corporations such as Samsung USA, Amazon, SAP, DarwinAI, Riot Games, Ace Vision Group, Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision, and ETAP; prestigious institutions such as Georgetown University; as well as venture-backed startups and independent inventors.
Prior to joining Alumen IP, Mr. Vu worked at both large and boutique law firms, and served as in-house patent counsel for a company focused on patent monetization. In that role, he developed claim charts for a variety of standards and emerging technologies.
Before entering the legal field, Mr. Vu spent 15 years as a software and firmware engineer at both startup and established firms in the computer and telecommunications industries.
Mr. Vu is fluent in Vietnamese.
